Southern Area Fire and Emergency Rescue (SAFER) is the result of the combination of Yoe Fire Company, Rescue Fire Company No. 1 of Dallastown, and Community Fire Company of Yorkana.

SAFER Provides fire protection and emergency services to the residents of Dallastown Boro, Yoe Boro, Yorkana Boro, York Township, Windsor Township, Lower Windsor Township, and surrounding communities.
